“A person’s childhood is the root of an ever growing tree of knowledge and experience.” No Kidding! HKDA Kids Design Thinking Awards, which is organized by Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA) with Create Hong Kong (“CreateHK”) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the lead sponsor, focuses on promoting Design Thinking among kids through a series of sharing sessions, seminars, workshops, Awards Ceremony and public exhibition to gather daily issues from family, lifestyle, community and sustainability into context and design. The awardees will have chances to work with professional designers, who will give advice on the winning entries, try to make their ideas come true.

Design Thinking is a people-oriented problem-solving methodology that seeks innovative solutions for various issues based on human needs. Why not take a chance to see what kids could do? Who said kids couldn’t do it! No Kidding! The HKDA Kid’s Design Thinking Awards 2020 will begin to collect submissions in mid-June 2020, and the Awards Ceremony will be held in 14th November 2020. A total of 10 awards to be selected by the panel judges of international and local design and/or education professionals are: Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, the most popular No Kidding! Award and six “Jury Selections”.
